Here are the eight sessions we’ll work through in the Love Your Life Coaching Business Group Course.
Step 1: Know How Life Coaches Aren’t Typical Entrepreneurs:
Most marketing and business programs are targeted to “typical” entrepreneurs who already have a background in business & marketing, and are motivated by money, business building, and growth. And these entrepreneurs want to know the BEST and FASTEST way to build, market and grow their business – in general. But most life coaches aren’t typical entrepreneurs. They aren’t primarily motivated by business building & money, and don’t have a strong background in marketing & business. And, as empathic intuitives, they need to make a difference, and run their businesses in a way that feels right.
In this first session, we’ll explore all the ways that life coaches are unique as entrepreneurs, and how it’s possible to build a business you love as an intuitive and empathic life coach – and do it your way by becoming an Ergonomic Entrepreneur – where you align every aspect of your business with who you are and how you work best.
Step 2: Know Your Business Phase:
One of the main reasons that so many coaching businesses don’t succeed, is because new life coaches think they’re in a more advanced phase of business than they really are.
This creates an expectation gap. And then when these new coaches don’t get the number of clients or financial reward they expect, they make it mean that no one is interest in their services, they’re business has failed, and they have to go back to their soul-sucking career.
In this session, you’ll learn how to identify the phase of business you’re really in, and set realistic goals you can actually achieve, Better yet, you will give yourself permission to BE in this phase of business, to try stuff out, to have some fun, while you start building the right foundation for growing a business you truly love.
Step 3: Know How to Quick Start Your Business:
As a new life coach, it’s so easy to get stuck. You get stuck choosing your ideal client. You get stuck figuring out the right packages and services to offer. You get stuck getting your website just right. And then you do nothing.
In session, you’ll learn how to give yourself permission to let go of “making the right decision” for now, and quickly put the bare necessities in place to start working with clients and talking about your business – while you work through your real business set up process.
Why is this important? Because you’ll be taking some action in the real world, feel like you’re moving forward – and you’ll start getting valuable intelligence right away on who you like and don’t like working with. What stuff you like and don’t like doing. And all of this information will help you make the “best guess for right now” as we move forward with our business building steps in the rest of the program.
Step 4: Know Yourself:
As a solopreneur, knowing who you are (including your personality style, working style, strengths, preferences and values) is essential to creating a business and life that brings passion, purpose and meaning every day. In this session, we’ll dive deep into rediscovering who you really are and unlocking your unique style and genius. We’ll also look at your personality style, action mode, strengths, values and unique genius and answer the following questions:
- Who are you?
- What do you want?
- Why do you want it?
- What’s blocking you?
At the end of this session, you’ll have a one page Who Am I? worksheet that you’ll use as a reference throughout all of our next business building steps to make sure everything you create is completely in line with your unique flow and genius.
Step 5: Know Your Business:
Now it’s time to take everything you’ve learned about yourself and apply it to your core business fundamentals – to make sure they’re clear and in line with who you are and what you want. This includes:
- Your ideal client & niche
- Your programs & services
- Your business goals
Step 6: Know Your Voice:
If you’re not really sure who you are, what you want, and what your business is all about, then it’s nearly impossible to communicate clearly. And if you can’t communicate clearly, then your ideal clients won’t be able recognize that what you have to offer is for them.
So in this session, we’re going to translate everything you learned about your business into your authentic voice. We’ll take a look at:
- Your brand elements
- Your core messages
- Your unique story
Taking the time at this stage to really get clear on your messaging will make things much easier when it comes time to start creating your core marketing pieces (like your website) and actually marketing your business.
Step 7: Know Your Marketing:
Marketing can be a huge road block for many life coaches. And I believe that’s because many coaches tend to skip the first step in marketing – and go straight to trying out different marketing tactics. So in this session, you will learn how to create the marketing strategy you need first – that will give you the right foundation you need to start marketing your business – and be confident about your marketing decisions moving forward.
You will learn how to use the powerful but simple Marketing Hourglass concept to create your One Page Marketing Plan – a marketing plan full of stuff that’s in line with who you are and how you prefer to work.
Step 8: Know How to Be an Ergonomic Entrepreneur:
As a life coach, how you run your business is just as important as the business itself. In this session, we will connect who you are and how you work best – to how you run your business on a day-to-day basis. This is the key to loving your business – and feeling energized and in flow every day. We’ll review:
- Your ideal work day – and how your work connects with your ideal life
- How you manage your business day-to-day
- Your core business processes
- How you lead and motivate yourself
- How you handle set-backs and challenges
