Additionally, as you browse the Sites, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.”

We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

  • “Cookies” are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier. For more information about cookies, and how to disable cookies, visit http://www.allaboutcookies.org.
  • “Log files” track actions occurring on the Site, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.

From these Sites  you can subscribe to newsletters or email subscription services and cookies may be used to remember if you are already registered and whether to show certain notifications which might only be valid to subscribed/unsubscribed users. We use HubSpot for our email service – you can learn more at www.hubspot.com.

Third Party Cookies

In some special cases we also use cookies provided by trusted third parties. The following section details which third party cookies you might encounter through this site.

Additionally when you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, scheduling, and limited payment information (which is processed via Acuity.com (the scheduling software we use which is linked to from the Sites) and Paypal.com (which is linked to Acuity.com), email address, and phone number.  We refer to this information as “Order Information.”

When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Order Information.

HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (we use Paypal to process your payment information – and you can learn more at www.paypal.com), arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations).  Additionally, we use this Order Information to:

  • Communicate with you;
  • Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and
  • When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.

We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Sites (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Sites, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).

  • These Sites use Google Analytics (a very common & trusted analytics solution on the web). Cookies from Google Analytics may track the amount of time you spend on our sites, the pages you visit, and similar actions. For more information visit the official Google Analytics page.
  • These Sites also use the Facebook pixel, which tracks any advertising we do on Facebook (for example – if we advertise on Facebook and you click on our ad and visit our website page, Facebook will track that as an event. It also means that we’ll be able to know that you visited our website, and advertise to you on Facebook. This is a standard practice used by many businesses and you can choose to ignore our ads or hide them through your Facebook account)
